AFAIK "a changeup" is a generic term for a pitch, any pitch slower or have a distinctive differential than a fast ball.

so if you're throwing 90 fastballs and 87 mph slider is a change-up, even though a slider is faster than a curve.

The last time I had sliders at White Castle they changed up the direction my stomach was going after too many PBRs.

White Castle in Brooklyn at 3:30 am; nobody involved in that transaction was sober, including yours truly

When I feel like changing things up, sometimes I'll make sliders with different combos of cheeses and sauces and condiments. Then I get to eat several different types of burgers instead of filling up on just one.

No. They are entirely separate pitches with entirely different ways of fooling batters.

A change up is a pitch made to look like a fast ball with the same arm motion, but is gripped differently, and goes slower than a fast ball. A slider has its own spin and looks different from a fast ball, so it is not a change.
