I haven't been to the track in years, but pondering about going this Monday. Anyone ever been with CTDs? Anyone going?

I had my first track day a few weeks ago at Thunderhill with CTDs. They are amazing. Let me try a loaner race suit for the day, have free classes and coaching, and just really cool people all around. I'll definitely be doing more track time with them as soon as the weather heats back up.

I did a couple events with them this season. Overall, it wasn't bad. I'm not a fan of their no passing rule after turn 5 (or 6) rule at T-Hill. Outside of that, it wasn't bad. Can't beat $100!

No passing on 5 and 6? That's prime passing spots for us little bikes.

After turn 6 until you go through turn 8. They were having too many people crash because of them being the high speed corners. I got stuck behind plenty of slow people in those areas even while being in C group, but I'll take a bit of frustration over some hot shot wannabe Rossi slamming into me because they don't know how to pass. Safety first!

I'm going with a group. Never been to BW. Only my second trackday on the TV4. $100 is pretty cheap but it seems like a long hall to get there.

I'll be there in B+ group. They don't have an A group.
Its fine for $100. Some of the folks in B+ should be in C but it is what it is.

I go because its a decent way to get some cheap track time as long as no one crashes into you. I've gone to a few CTD days and they've all been smooth experiences for me, the only thing I can say is there is a large amount of crashes compared to the other trackday providers I have been with.

Thanks for the input!

I've never been to thill, but that sounds frustrating. Kinda like rolling off the throttle on turn 5 at Laguna Seca.

It's only 1.5-2ish hours from me. I have a hatchback with a hitch but never towed with it before. 5 speed manual. Decisions, decisions.

That's scary. Maybe since it's because there's so many new-to-track riders. I've been with Ti2TT, Let's Ride, PTT, and Keigwins and had smooth experiences with all of them.

You need to get a Z2 day in there to complete your list :thumbup

When I rode the TV4 at THill I struggled with the thought that I could be taken out by someone else without any mistake on my own part. I was unable to relax until the 4th or 5th session. Hoping to avoid feeling that way Monday but it sounds like it is somewhat justified.

I'll be heading up from SD tomorrow evening & will be on a yellow SV650 with a grey upper fairing in the C group (someone has to hold down the left end of the Bell curve!) so maybe if you see me, stop by & introduce yourself. Always good to meet other riders.

Anyone interested in parking together?
I usually park here next to the club house in front of pit lane. I'll have the black Fiesta ST with the white/red 959 panigale

Better late than never, but I'm IN! I'll try to get a spot next to you Cody. If not, I'll search for a spot on the dirt patch closest to pit entrance. Black Jeep with a grey/black FZ07.
