Buttonwillow open test

Noob question: can anyone point to info about the open test days at Buttonwillow that precede the AFM events? The Buttonwillow website doesn’t seem to elaborate on them.

Basic questions I have:
1. What is the format? Open track all day?
2. Is there a tech inspection?
3. Do I have to arrive at a certain time in the morning like for a typical track day, or could I cheat and show up at 10 or noon?
4. Do I have to preregister with anyone?
5. Cost?

Hey Gavin, so the "open test day at Bwillow held every Friday before AFMs race weekend is held by the track it self so no sign up is needed ahead of time. Yes you can arrive at 10 and sign up right at the gate when you arrive. Format is just like a track day A, B & C. I know you won't have this problem but motorcycles in street trim are not allowed on track. Must be in race trim. Tech inspection is usually to the right (if looking at the track) of the outside seating area. I believe it cost $145 for the day or $95 for half day. hope this helps. Thanks for sharing Oscar, this will.be my first season racing there, so good to know the cost for the AFM Friday well ahead of time.
