Bubbly Front Tire

It was worn out anyway.

Best guess is some flavor of impact damaged/compromised the air bladder allowing air to seep into the tire belts/layers.

Odd failure...

I've seen something similar happen to an SUV tire.
It was parked for several days on a rock, deforming that section of tire. It was also an extremely hot summer weekend with the tire in the sun most of the day.
Assumptions were that the multiple day rock deformation and heat combination caused a weak spot in the tire carcass that then ballooned.

Looks like a hematoma. I did this to my truck tire one time after driving maybe 100' on a flat. Didn't think I did much harm until I plugged the tire and reinflated. Had bubbles like that popping out all over.
