That's the problem with aftermarket. (Brembo does not make model specific RCS 19 or any of their high end stuff, all the same. You will need to fabricate a bracket and find a master cylinder that has the outlet the same size as the Brembo, and then get a short piece of Tygon tubing.) I recommend Kurveygirl they have a nice and inexpensive bracket. Plus you will need to buy brake lines, the old ones won't work.

It may, but the angle of the fitting may be wrong. You can spin some of them, so that might not be a problem, but it's definitely not one-size-fits-all.

If I may ask, why the change? What's the problem with the stock part?

I actually can't figure out what is wrong with my stock MC, I bleed the brakes and they are great but after about a month they go kind of "soft", I like the very immediate strong feel and I can't seem to get that with my current stock MC.

Check with Kyle Racing. They sell reservoir kits with bracket and tubing, basically everything you need to install it. I was able to use the Galfer superbike lines that I had already installed on my RC51. My 07 600RR doesn't look that different so it should be easy install. Only issue with lines is if they don't reach the port on the RCS. Spiegler makes brake lines to order if needed but I can't picture the location of the outlet port changing the distance that much. The stock caliper is ok but doesn't have the feel of the Brembo. I noted it's firm in the initial few millimeters of lever travel compared to the Nissin unit which alway seemed soft thru about half of the lever stroke. Hope this helps.
Dan has several different brackets for mounting the reservoir. You can mount to the master cylinder or your clip on or the upper triple pinch bolt. he also has "bendy brackets". aluminum brackets that you can modify easily to accommodate your sitch.

You got something else going on, probably unrelated to your MC.

Did you ziptie over night after bleed?

On topic, going from a 16mm to a 19mm will help with a more immediate response.

I think AFM199 was referring to the Banjo bolts (1.0 vs 1.25 thread) being different.

I have this same problem on my '07 CBR1000RR. Rebuilt the calipers, REPLACED the MC. Cleaned everything out. Still same problem. Not sure whats up. No leaks. :thumbdown

I would love to go with the Brembo.

Sadly that's how my 08 rr felt, even after quality pads and lines.

Before dropping all that money on the RCS-19 I would get SS lines first and high quality brake pads. Brembo sells some really good brake pads. I'm talking incredible grip with no fade. They are expensive and totally worth it.
The SC sintered pads are recommended for street and occasional track days.

The race only pads would blow your mind. It would literally flip your bike over if you don't know what your doing and just grab at it.

Because the configuration of the stock MC outlet and the Brembo are almost always quite different. Hold the Brembo up to the stock MC and see before you start taking shit apart.

No I was not. Though they usually are. I was referring to the position of the outlet spigot.

Just checked my 07 600RR master cylinder and my Brembo, Both have downward facing outlet spigots and virtually the same location on the master cylinder so the brake lines should work but ya never know until ya try. My Brembo is not RCS unit but previous forged item that Brembo sold before RCS became available. I do believe the outlet on the Brembos is the same if anyone has an RCS to confirm. Also correction to my previous post I said caliper was soft when I meant the stock master. The stock calipers are really good when paired with the Brembo unit in my experience.

Yeah calipers are not the issue when it comes to brake feel, its the MC. Anyone with RCS 19 can chime in on this? I am waiting to get more info before I pull the trigger on this?

AFM199 I assume this is what I am gonna need?

that should be all to put together the MC?

Yep, that's probably going to do it. Be sure you have a double banjo bolt of the right pitch and fresh copper washers.

Wow, $60 for a reservoir kit? I made one from parts laying around.

Motorcycles are expensive. 'Specially the fast ones with the racing stripes.

Don't think too many are going to have a reservoir laying around or 6mm Tygon tubing. I have a lot of spares in my garage & don't have a reservoir that would fit. Remember the stock Honda reservoir has a 8mm outlet & the Brembo master is 6mm inlet. Plus he won't have to fab a bracket. For most imo it's a pretty good deal.

It's not my money. I'm just a cheap bastige.

And, I know a lot of guys who like to have things buttoned up perfectly.
