Hello Barf,

I recently installed Vortex rearsets on my 11 cbr 600rr. What i noticed is that the stock rear brake has spring installed to get the brake back to starting position. Vortex dont have one. Is this normal?

Cheers!

Most aftermarket rearset kits don't provide for the stock return spring, under the assumption that the bike won't see street use and will not have a brake light anyway. You can use some sort of coil spring around the rear master cylinder pushrod. You can spend $20 or so for something like the Graves setup:

Or spend less than half that for a spring and washer from the local hardware store that works just as well:

Are you talking about making your rear brake light work again?
Then you will need this. Rear brake light banjo switch.

Hooli, that spring is for riders wanting more feedback from the rear pedal and also prevents rear brake drag. But it won't make your rear light work. Capish

Thanks everybody. I have installed the banjo bolt now. I need to get the wires soldered now. As i dont have the tools to do it, i will take it to a shop.

Cheers!
