Booster seat safety

Fear me!
the pics of the parents and kid :cry

Years ago the mrs and our 2 boys were involved in a side impact collision for an unprotected left turn. My older son got the brunt of the impact (rear passenger side) and got a concussion. We had a Britax at the time (Frontier I think). 5 point buckle and real side impact protection. Looking back, yeah the car seat definitely saved him from permanent injury.

:wtf
:wow
Good that he is better ..

unfortunately the bigger seats make it more cumbersome for the kid to climb in and attach him/herself and turn around in the space between front seat and kid seat

I did not see the kid pictures BTW only the dummy on video

Fear me!
just watched the dummy on video again...my kid stayed restrained against the car seat the entire time and his head smacked against the side protection thingy of the car seat. I think that's where the concussion happened, better than the alternative.

as for the pics...I can't even imagine :(

Despite her resilience, her vulnerabilities weigh on the Browns. There is always a risk of what they call “popping off” — the ventilator tubing becoming disconnected — or getting clogged with Jillian’s secretions. With her voice as faint as it is, Jillian can’t cry out for help.
“You can’t even put the garbage out because she’s going to pop off,” Jay Brown said. “We can’t get the mail because she’s going to die while you’re getting the mail.”
