Lean, Twist, repeat.....
My mom has a 1975 R60/6 in her garage that was my stepdads. Hasn't been run in 20+ years. Any value there? Best place to list it for sale? No pics no idea of condition. She says, "it ran great when it was parked.". That always makes me laugh.

Thanks in advance!

Ask me about my B-1-D
Ballpark value :
Running $3k
Not $ 1500?

Old airheads are cool but can be money pits

I would think that would be a little high for the not. As you say, money pits. Not running I would expect it to be more like $800-1000.

Silver, I may know someone interested in it if it's in that range. :thumbup

try the Marketplace at IBMWR.org

should have non-CV carbs on it which is kind of neat...

I thought you wanted to see how little it would take to get it running..

An R75/6?

Running, in fair to good condition, $2500-up
Running, rough looking/needs tinkering $1500-$2500
Not running, $1500 or less, depending on condition of finish, seats, etc. +how much work to get it running.

Carlo, a 60/6. cherry, maybe $4000. not the most sought after model.

Yep. My not running R75/5, which is more desirable, couldn't even fetch 1k here on BARF. I decided to keep it and spend the 5k-6k to restore it. Expensive parts.

A not running R60/6? Maybe $800-$1000 if it can be made to be a runner without a complete restoration.

also, isn't '75 about when the transition from short wheel base to longer wheelbase versions happened (and the associated debate about the swb being unstable deathtraps (exageration) etc.)

I've been told that the SWB is stable if set up properly - it just all needs to be properly aligned. Can't say how true that is though.

Or, you leave it SWB, put on a steering damper, bump up the timing a half degree, fab a lower seat, dosh up the suspension and have a cool little canyon bike.

I STILL thought OP was just looking for someone to putt out to Tracy and tell 'em whats what with it...could be a 5k OM, you know?:rolleyes

I got 60k or so on this one, and still figuring it out...
