Looks like BMW Motorrad is taking a leaf from Indians playbook and going full retro on a new version of their oilhead.

Not a lot of information yet - and yes, I'm suffering from an irrational love for boxer beemers.

Need more pix, but that looks like a very nice bike. The seat looks like a torture device, though.

You could, but an 1800cc retro looking version of the oil/hex head with fuel injection will probably be a much better engine, than the WWII mold the Russians stole.

I am guessing that it will be tuned for smooth low-end power and probably have very high valve adjustment intervals.

If I could get a bike that looked like an R69 with that engine, I would be very excited.

Funny how HD gets so much shit here for using dated tech, but BMW does it and they’re genius.

Interesting but the engine looks completely out of scale with the rest of the bike.

I think it's a normal sized (mahoosive) boxer engine; that concept bike just doesn't have the large tanks production R bikes carry.
