Bikemaster HID kit - replacement bulbs

Not sure if this is where this goes, but here it is.

I have a BM kit that I bought a couple years back and don't remember where from. It appears that the bulb has burnt out and I'm having a helluva time finding what comes across as the correct replacement, even with BM's help.

Here's the one I pulled from the bike. It has the locking collar at the base of the bulb that locks in to the back of the headlight bucket and two wires going to it (see attachment)

On the ones that are pictured online, they always look like this.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Need to know if the bulbs are H7 or H3 or? Likely H7, but...
And unless the bulb is crackled or smoked, it could be the ballast.

If you're sure it's the bulb, most motorcycle shops can get it for you.
Bikemaster is the house brand for Tucker Rocky. A slightly smaller version of Parts Unlimited. Here is a chart with the part numbers and costs of the replacement bulbs. Your 9005 is at the bottom. That's what, the hi beam from the GSXR1000? So, find a dealer like Cycle Gear or your favorite independent who orders regularly and give them the part number. One of the main warehouses is in Visalia, near Fresno so you should get it next day if they are ready to place an order.

Wait! Maybe not the bulb? Would suck if it were the ballast. I know the relay is clicking when the switch is hit. Never worked on these things other than the install. Can I throw a multi-meter on the bulb leads and check for voltage? Is it really the 23000V that the little black box says?

THanks. I'll have to read it again after work, but it seems like disconnecting it from the stock wiring would test the switch and not the ballast as I read it.

Thanks for the link

Yeah, check it out. It has you checking the bulb with 12v . So if the bulb works, it could be the ballast. But read it and see what you get.

The picture of your setup just looks like a common e-bay setup with a bike master sticker slapped on it by BM. The other pic you posted is a hi/low beam style bulb. It is still in the protective plastic case that they are shipped in. That's why it looks so big. 2 wires are for power and the other 2 are for an electromagnetic actuator that moves the bulb in and out to aim the beam for the hi/low beams. Your setup looks like the same ones I put in some aftermarket Honda civic housings a few months ago.
