Best storefront for motorcycle boots

I've had a bugger of a time trying to buy new moto boots recently. I'm guilty of buying mostly online these days so yes, it's partially my fault that there are limited brick and mortar retailers that have a decent stock of boots in my size. I have bought 3 pairs of boots from Amazon and have had to send all back because they do not fit.

Where does one buy touring or adventure touring boots size 11 WIDE in the Bay area or Sacramento areas?

Honestly, some people will hate me saying this, but check out Cycle Gear (plenty in the Bay Area and in Sac).

They don't stock many brands (Bilt and Sedici, their in-house brands, plus AlpineStars and maybe one or two others), but you can try stuff on.

I have a pair of A* from them, as well as a couple of pairs of Sedici, and they've all been good. Plus their return policy is pretty good.

If you have wide feet, said shop doesn't exist. Back in the day the recommendation would be a Helmut's but Scuderia in particularly would be a bust. The last time I was there most of their boots were Rev-It hipster boots or Spidi which only fit elves. I don't have Sasquatch feet either. Just a bit of a slightly wider toe box.

For me TCX or Alpinestars have been the best fit.

Call me a heretic, but I really like the BILT boots I have. 2 different pairs. I've had way better luck with them than the A Stars I had before. Every pair of A Stars I had fell apart.

Why not call the motorcycle stores in Vallejo and Concord?

Even if they don't have your size, they can order it for you.

FYI: They're closed on Mondays.

Try Forma ADV boots. I love mine. They run wide. Cycle Gear carries them. Mine are tall but there's a shorter model too. Most comfortable motorcycle boot I have owned.

Old pic from when they were new.

I like Cycle Gear too, I understand the Sac store is much bigger than the rest around here so I'd guess their selection would be good too. After trying some on you might be surprised to find a pair that fit, despite not being a wide width. All manufacturers are different.

Last boots I bought I saw on the cycle gear website. Ordered at my local store. They're didn't fit, but 2nd (or 3rd?) pair they ordered did.

If I wanted to find a pair in store, I might try Scuderia West. I've bought 2 pairs gloves &1 of boots there before, but last time glove shopping I struck out there (they would have ordered the right size, but it's a hassle to return there and try again) and ended up buying gloves at Concord BMW--which could also be a source for boots.

If I lived near Sac, I guess I'd try the cycle gear superstore.

Avoid SIDI if you've got wide feet.

If you're going for wide, I am happy with my Gearne boots. I don't have a huge foot, but I definitely am not comfortable in anything that is slightly narrow.

Every Sidi boot or cycling shoe I've tried seemed to be for people with pointy elf feet. If your foot is foot-shaped I think they'd lead to bunions, if not immediate pain.
My experience is that most Italian footwear (I wear Sidi cycling shoes, and have some Italian loafers) is pretty narrow. Do Italians tend to have narrow feet, or is it a style thing?

Cycle Gear Sacramento has a large stock of apparel. They even have a sizable close out section.

I've been to the big ass Sacramento Cycle Gear many times. Yes, big store but not a large selection of boots for me.

Yeah, I've had two pairs of A-star boots come apart on me. No more A-stars. Recent Tourmaster boots zipper failed.

A trip into the City to Scuderia?
I miss so many of our stores that are gone forever.

Scuderia has a nice selection of quality gear.

And I have duck feet (narrow heel, wide foot) that Sidi boots fit perfectly.
