Just a quick shout out to Berkeley Performance. My 1098S was due for the 15K maintenance so I called around to get pricing. I was quoted a base price at Monroe of $1200 not including parts when I called. So I called Berkeley as they did the 7500 mile for me. Their quote was $498 base. Holy friggin moly what a difference! So I went ahead with the work. I also needed fork seals, break pads, tires and a bunch of other stuff. Anyhoo, thanks to Rich. It was a pleasure to do business with you again.
And to their Master Ducati Mechanic Jay: Thanks man. I took it for a cruise up Grizzly Peak to skyline and down Pinehurst to Redwood to Castro Valley and back. :rideBike feels like new. Thank you sir. I may come see you at the Ducati bike night in Emeryville. Have a good day.

Did they recently start working on ducatis? I've brought bikes there in the past and they've alwaus done a great job, but last time I called (about 6 months ago) they said they weren't able to replace timing belts/do valve adjustments.

Yes sir. I think it is the addition of Jay (master Ducati mechanic) that they are now able to do the major maintenance. They saved me a bunch plus they are just regular dudes like me and Suzy is awesome as well. Great people. Please use them if you are in the area. It's nice to have a choice besides the authorized shops that tend to charge and arm and a leg. I need my arm and leg to ride.

15k is the major maintenance. Replacement of internal belts and such. The next maintenance won't be nearly as extensive.

I can only speak to routine maintenance on my '13 Gladius and a tire plug so far, but these guys have been great. Don't know what to do now that I'm moving far away from Berkeley. Bummer.
