I was going to start dirt-biking with my son and bought a ton of gear. Then my situation changed drastically and dirt was no longer in the cards.
The Berik Ricky Carmichael Pro Boots are brand new. The informational tags are still attached! Size is US 10, EU 43. No dirt, no sweat, no abrasion, no rips. The soles are perfect, the toe caps are perfect, the straps and buckles are perfect. These are in new condition because they are new old stock, which makes them unobtanium.
Retail price was $350. I'll take half that, just $150 for this awesome pair of boots. Did I mention they are new, never worn? Of course, if you want yellow, you can get them on eBay and pay $350...
Here's what Motorcycle Action Mag said about these boots:
Here’s a list of things that stand out with Berik’s RC OVS-Pro boot.
(1) Fit. The inside of the OVS-Pro is plush. All that padding means you won’t have to worry about feeling the frame smack against your ankles. It also means the boots are relatively tall in the toe box.
(2) Materials. Depending on where you live, the RC OVS-Pro is available in leather or kangaroo skin. Why? Selling products made of kangaroo skin is illegal in California and New York (states in which the indigenous kangaroo population has dwindled to zero). What’s the difference between ‘roo and moo? Not much. Why not? Because the majority of the boot is plastic.
(3) Look. The Moon hubcap eyes are the most recognizable cosmetic feature, but, on the whole, the Berik has a very familiar look to it. MXA test riders took turns identifying design elements that are reminiscent of Fox, Oxtar and Gaerne boots. The consensus was that the bottom half looked like a Fox, the top half a Gaerne and the buckles resembled Oxtar buckles.
(4) Buckles. Beautifully simplistic is the best way to describe Berik’s buckles. That’s a great thing when almost every other boot company is seriously over-engineering their buckles.
(5) Sole. The RC OVS-Pro sole closely resembles the Fox Pro Forma sole. It shares the same pattern on the bottom and the same durability.
(6) Weight. The Berik RC OVS-Pro isn’t the lightest boot on the market, but it isn’t the heaviest either. Our size ten boot came in at four pounds, three ounces (each).
Please let me know if you have any questions. :ride
