do your civic duty: help at the polls this tuesday (6/7).

san francisco still could use poll workers. you'll need to show up at city hall tomorrow (friday 6/3) for a brief interview, then again some time over the next few days for training, then at the polls from 6am-10pm tuesday. you'll get a small stipend ($125-$150 or something like that). and the satisfaction of helping lots of people vote.

i imagine other counties need volunteers too, check with your department of elections.

I have to any way. at least it's time and a half

hmpf. volunteer stipend is less than minimum wage.

(but really it's supposed to be a volunteer thing? i assume you're doing something a little higher up on the totem pole.)

yeah it's pretty silly but the boss likes it when we do this and I get 1.5 hours comp time so 5.25 hours of work gets me a day off later plus I get free parking for the moto so I save 3 bucks.

Like Daffy said, " eh, it's a living".
