Come take a great and fun ride to join some Barfers this weekend August 25 from 3-6 to fly drones around the farm.
There will be BBQ and oh yeah, lots and lots of rescue Puppies to play with as well.
Also posted a Berryessa ride to and from. The roads between the bay and Davis are vast and some of the best around.
Come ride and fly with us.

Good on you D!!

Sounds awesome. If my busy life gives me a pass no place I would rather visit and hang than FHF’s!!

Awwww man.
I'd love to visit your place again.

However...
… my two grandkids (5 & 7) are going to be doing their 2'nd MX race. This one at Hollister.
This weekend.
Gotta go.

Ya'all have fun at FHF!

Just checked a no-fly map, it looks like you're in an "Authorization Zone". You're actually in an overlap of a Warning Zone for Davis (not sure if it's the airport, the university, or what), Authorization Zone for Yolo Airport, and just barely outside the Warning Zone for Travis Air Force Base.
https://www.dji.com/flysafe/geo-map

This is what DJI has to say about AZ's:
In these Zones, which appear yellow in the DJI GO map, users will be prompted with a warning and flight is limited by default. Authorization Zones may be unlocked by authorized users using a DJI verified account.
Example Authorization Zone: Model aircraft flying club near an airport.

After a bit of reading it appears that DJI limits you to 50'. You can go through a series of steps (including signing in to your DJI account) to enable flight in the Authorization Zone, but that only lasts 24 hours I believe. Older versions of the DJI GO app allow you to turn off this 'safety' feature completely and get yourself in as much trouble as you want.
I'm not 100% sure my Phantom will be affected since I don't know offhand which version I'm running.

Still should be able to fuck around with a ceiling of fifty feet and display the capabilities for your farm, but it's something to consider if you're debating on purchasing a drone. Future versions of the app may prohibit you from flying in that area at all.

It will still be fun to buzz the farm <50'. Won't be able to blast up to the moon, but then again, you wouldn't be able to see the pups on the video from up there anyways.

Sad to miss this one

I may actually try to make this.
I've been on the hunt for another rescue pup for months now.
Tough to beat a day of drones, motos and pups.

Dani,
We are probably not going to make it, as we are in the middle of moving. We bought a place in Placerville.

I'm still pushing for it. But it's not super likely.

Come on, Mike! Live a little. Besides I haven’t seen you and Buttons face in like , forever. Need hug

The consolation price is that at least you guys are moving closer to me :)
