I got an email notification of a PM from that forum, and found a bunch of messages in Cryllic script.
Took a look at the admin board and found more of the same.
Somebody seems to have approved some eastern european spammers membership requests, then walked out of the control room.

You know that scene from The Shining, where Shelly Duvall is thumbing through Nicholson's manuscript, and every page is full of the phrase "all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy" for hundreds of pages?
That's what their admin notices board looks like.
I gave up somewhere around page 95.
New spam every few seconds from Thursday up to now, and no end in sight.

Nobody is there to watch it. Vorhese moved on probably 2 years ago and the others who were involved and active agreed there was not enough interest or traffic to keep it going. I said goodbye to it long ago.
You can probably ping vorhese through barf and see if you can get the url if interested.

Vorhese should at least go lock down membership requests.
There are still people posting there who are legitimate, but dozens of new members from eastern europe and other places, and thousands of new posts, going back to august 7.

spam and hack attempts from Eastern Europe have been a recurring issue there if memory serves
