I was near the far corner of the parking lot. I have a silver '02 R1. I guess the bikes in that area were mostly redline riders'? If I had known it was you, I would've said 'hi'. :darkangel :D
I was down on the far end too. I remember seeing your R1 cause I was telling my friend how I like how the '02's look.

I was thinking, on nights like that, the BARF stickers would have been cool to identify us. :) I would have felt more comfortable approaching a total stranger if I thought they might be a BARFer. :D

I was talking to the same guy because he and magyarbetyar were the only two people I knew. Feel free to interrupt. :D

I only saw one gal on her own bike. A F4i sil/blk.

Really??? I saw two other women riders (non-pillion). They were over on the other side of the parking lot from me.

I got there at 8:00pm and left when the MPD showed up. I didn't walk around too much. Mostly just stood by my bike, people watching.

All I have to say regarding last nigh is this

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

That is the 1st amendment of the Constitution of the United States.

I guess it doesn't count if you ride a bike.:rolleyes :rolleyes

No, actually it doesn't count if you're on private property. If we did something like this at a park on a sunday afternoon we'd have no problem. That's my suggestion. Everyone meet at a big park with a nice big parking lot, hang out, play some ball (B and Foot) and just get to know everyone.

Whadaya say?:D

It might be a good idea that next time a B.A.R.F. rep or someone, should RESERVE a spot, like Vasona or some Dam, and if the turnout is expected to be big, get some PERMITS. Just an idea, the old Naval Air Station in Alameda is HUGE, man I mean it's HUGE! And it's just about empty, 'cept for a couple of studios, warehouses, and ships. You could have the biggest party on the west coat there. I'm not kidding.

Anybody heard of Lake Elizabeth in Fremont? Decent size parking lots, lots of grass to play ball or throw the frisbee, and bbq pits to cook up the grub.

just a suggestion!

great ideas! Lake Elizabeth or Vasona Lake is cool. both have bees :teeth . Vasona is like $125 -175 for the reservation and books quickly, but doing so guarantees an area, tables and grill.

what my family does is everyone brings little things for a raffle, the proceeds get carried over every year by the succeeding picnic chair volunteer to secure a spot ad infinitum. My roots in the USA go back to the first Chinese female born in California - "Spanish Mary" of Monterey, Calif :) they have been doing this at places like Alum Rock, Vasona, etc. since way before my time - a nice tradition.

I like Vasona Lake, gotta' love them rental canoes too on a hot day!

Gotta love the pay for play!

For only 125 dollars you can spend all day on public land.

HA! what a joke!
