Barf Member Jeff Tigert sets Pikes Peak record - barf exclusive interview

Some of the members here know that our member Jeff Tigert former AFM and WSMC champ did Pikes Peak a couple of weeks ago. (barf handle is jtigert)

Not only did he do it he set a record for the 450 class as the fastest ever running up the hill. I did a little feature article on Jeff and the history making ride.

It is in the features along with other articles. Most have been written by me, but this area is open to other barfers if you have something you would like to submit to be added. Jeff's interview is at the bottom of the Feature area.

I have been a fan of Mr. Jeff for some time. I am also a fan of Mr. Budman. Although, I am not sure his writing skills are as fast as his intellect. Because, he be PDQ.

Excellent! I was a corner worker (more like assistant corner worker - vest, flag and sitting with the "real" corner worker) way back in the day at Pikes Peak. This was back when the Audi Quattro dominated and Bobby Unser was still - I mean STILL racing there - I think he was about 150 years old and the road was more dirt than asphalt.

While I may not know you, i do know the "run" and it's damned impressive to win and even more so to set a record there in any class! Congratulations!!

I hear Wade Boyd took 2nd again in the Sidecar class too. Bay Area represent'n at Pikes Peak!

SBKFactory.com riders Jake Holden & James Compton ride the SBKFactory ZRX1224RR's at Pikes Peak! Jake finishes 2nd in class & 3rd overall on the heavily modified ZRX1200. James finishes 3rd in class & 6th overall.

Not bad for a bike that uses as one BARF member put it "dead technology."
