I'm sure many of you have been ignoring your anti viruses and little "not secure" tags in your browsers for months now when visiting BARF.

As of right now, we've changed that for everyone and thrown the switch on the magic "https" machine and BARF is now a secure site!

We anticipate some potential issues like broken images and maybe some flaws on some of the "non-forum" pages, but so far its looking pretty good.

Big thanks for Valgar for recompiling binaries, topping off the blinker fluid and properly re-lubing the flux capacitor.

And moar big thanks the Budman for wrangling together everything us nerds need to make things like this finally happen!

Please chime in here if you notice any flaws or issues. In the mean time...
Keep BARF alive...

Of course now I need a new landing page so airport and hotel wifis can redirect me to login. I've been using barf for this purpose. :laughing

What's the difference?
For websites, it's pretty much mandatory in the SEO world now. BARF doesn't have a lot of problems there, but the lack of it was a deficiency that we were hoping to wrap up with the upgrade to vbulletin. Which BTW is still in the works, but is taking time...

To the end users... your BARF credentials are now much less vulnerable to a man in the middle attack. Maintaining security of your access to teh BARF.
