Thank you, Dennis, for picking up and taking over where Steveco left off, and giving all of us such an amazing place to meet up. Who knew there was such a high concentration of incredible people here in the Bay Area?
Since shortly after I started riding back in the 80's, I wanted to race. Thanks to the people I met here on BARF (I blame Hooli! Damn you and that track day with Z2 at RFR!!!), I started doing Z2 trackdays, and progressed to actually making that dream come true. Most times, you carry a dream around half your life, thinking about how awesome it would have been if you'd actually taken the shot you passed up, when you finally manage to make it happen, it usually ends up falling far short of what you had imagined it would be like... but not this time. Racing has exceeded everything I had imagined.
And it wouldn't have happened without BARF.
BARF has given me so much... and with my amazing group of volunteers (Roadside Angels FTMFW!!!!!1!!111!!), I've been able to give back at least a little bit to the riding community that means so much to me.
So thank you, Dennis, for giving me a place to make my biggest dreams come true... you truly don't know the magnitude of what you've given me.
And thank you to everyone who has volunteered to be on my list, willing to drop everything at a moment's notice to rush out and pick up a BARFer who needs some help. You guys and gals are amazing, and I absolutely could not make this work without you!!! :love
God dammit. I got some dirt or sumpin' in my eye... it's all watery now...
