BARF is going MotoGP Racing... Rookies Cup Style

Are the Rookies Cup races televised at all here or is it a MotoGP.com subscription only deal?

this article says the races will be live on www.redbull.tv. they are def not on the subscription and i highly doubt they will be televised in the US.

quote about Joe and Anthony too
Those hoping to see local heroes on the podium in Texas will be stretching the meaning of local to include Californians Joe Roberts and Anthony Alonso. 15-year-old Joe Roberts is already a Rookies Cup race winner having taken victory at Brno in the Czech Republic in 2011, he was 2nd there last year. Joe was 10th fastest at the 2nd Jerez test.

Alonso, the 14 year old from Fremont makes his Rookies Cup debut here. He was 18th in the 2nd preseason test but is learning fast and was the 2012 WERA West Moto3 Champion. The new track and the new bikes are a great leveller and anyway the Rookies have a great habit of burning up the form book at the first corner.

Both Rookies Cup races in Austin can be seen live on www.redbull.tv and on TV stations around the world. Race 1 is at 16.30 local time (23.30 CET) on Saturday April 20th and Race 2 is on Sunday at 15.30 local time (22.30 CET), the show starts 10 minutes before the race.

I texted dad and told him to tell Anthony to rock qualifying 1.
He just needs to get gridded towards the front. The Cid can race. He just can't pass 20 guys in 12 laps.

Go Anthony........GO!!

WHat is this I heard? Something about the free practice session being cancelled because of a power outage? That sucks! I know they will figure out a way to get these boys some track time before Quali though.

GO ANTHONY!! Hope to see better qualifying results this round. :thumbup

OK, it was just the first free practice session. Well, quali didn't go quite like I was hoping, but that's OK. Just gotta find some pace and make some moves in the race. Totally doable. Joe Roberts is looking good, seventh starting position!

Man, Hanika and Perez are riding great. It's going to be hard to catch those two.

Well crap, a stall on the grid! Not sure what happened there, but it was unfortunate. That said, being able to get out there and get to know the track better under race conditions was good, and an 18th place finish is OK too. The track time was invaluable and will help bring a better result in race 2!

GO ANTHONY!!

Yeah Dennis... that was a total bummer. The race was good at the front though.

Nice to see the young Japanese girl back in action as well.

Hoping for some points in race two.

Assen.. how cool. What a great experience for the Krazy Cid.

Watch the race here.
Not going to see much of Anthony unfortunately, but it is cool to see the talent he has to face.

Joe Roberts the other American took 9th after winning Supersport at Barber.

Really shows these young men and one young lady are amazingly good moto racers.

Thanks for the link, Budman! I was looking for it, but I guess it was too soon. Now I can watch race 2! Fantastic to hear that Anthony came out with some points.

Way go, Kiddo! Way to keep your head up and keep fighting! I hope Anthony knows how proud we are of him. Him and Joe both. These young guys are out there doin it on the international stage. Just amazing. :flag

These young guys are out there doin it on the international stage. Just amazing.

And so many of these kids have so much more experience and support than Anthony. It's really amazing that he's jumping in with both feet at the deep end and hanging tough!
