BARF Friendly Cagers?

Hey everyone, i know its been hella days since i last posted on BARF. After i left High Gear Powersports i moved into the video gaming industry where i belong!

So i will always move out of the way when i see that a rider is trying to split lanes next to me, and sometimes i get a wave or w/e. Thats all cool. I have to commute from Gilroy to Sunnyvale everyday, how can i show that i care about bikes on the road? and that im not oblivious like everyone else? [prius drivers]

Ive always wanted to try the good 'ol :twofinger , but i dare not try it in case the rider is not a barfer. I dont want my ass kicked. Anyway let me know what i can do to spread the love. as always -:thumbup:nerd:nerd

I tried a post like that once. It went bad.
"I'm your cager friend" or something like that.

They offered me a cookie.

I use to have a "Biker Friendly" sticker on my back windows. Got a lot of friendly waves and horn taps from bikers. Even the wife got them and it always scared her. :rofl
Can't remember where I got them put I'll check on line and post.

+1 I always give room, the best part is getting a wave back. But honestly if I saw a car giving me the :twofinger I'm pretty sure barf wouldn't be the first thing to pop into my mind :rofl

Most of all, if you see a bike spill it - STOP and help him. If he's in the road, pull him to safety and maybe try and stop traffic if you can.

awesome, ECV too even. Awesome folks, thx for the feedback. and ur right, the finger would be all bad. i fail to realize that maybe in the heat of the moment, someone flipping you off wouldn't bring their online community to mind before flying off the handle.

gotta get me some BARF merch...

I find, if you are in lane one indicating left and pulling over is the best way. So I know it not just a case of you moving over cause you dropped your iPhone/Starbucks/mail order bride catalog and that you did see me and are making room.

One thing I have noticed here in the US. In Ireland if you want to wave to a rider on your right hand side, you sometimes will show them the sole of your boot as you go by, so as to not take your hand off the throttle. I did this to a friend and he taught I was trying to kick out at him or a car.

Is this not part of the biker etiquette over here ?

meh.
This one time I split up to the front at a red light, and the guy in the cage to my right gave me a bagel.

I guess that was friendly, if not totally random.

Thanks bro, but if ya see me kinda splitting the No 1 and 2, and if you're in the 1, if you just move one inch to your left, I'll see it and know that you're aware of me.

I always tell everyone that bay area drivers are the most courteous people to drive on CA freeways. Thanks and take care.

I don't like stickers on my car, but I do make a gesture moving over, making that extra space for them. The deliberate move is usually appreciated, not like some people out there who just don't know how to drive and maintain their position in lane.

The thing about BARF is that sometimes some of us forget that most of us here drive cars too. :)
