Barf Baja 2019 live trip and recap

Husenberg problem may be something as boring as a clogged fuel injector. (No carnage from metal bits flying around inside of motor). New injector from RM coming, I'll keep y'all posted

That would explain the heat; must have been running lean?

Wow. Looks like an awesome trip this year. No injuries, minimal mechanical issues, great riding, great stories, and terrific photos. Also can't wait for Dima's drone shots. Turns out I was right behind you guys on the way back. I crossed the border on Feb 3rd and I think you guys crossed that morning? Wish I was with you all for the trip, but we did visit some of the same places/restaurants - El Rosario/Mama's (of course); Requeson/Playa Buenaventura; San Ignacio/La Huerta. Didn't stop in Mulege this year.

I did ok down there myself. Put about 500 miles on the Red Snapper, including a big loop from La Ventana to Los Barriles to Cabo Pulmo and back. The XR ran great, with only one flat tire (pinch flat, had the pressure too low), though I made sure to stay away from any stream crossings. My son's bike didn't fare as well. He burned out the clutch during a (different) ride through some deep sand. Fortunately a friend was flying down to visit, so I ordered a new clutch kit through Rocky Mountain and had it delivered to my friend. He brought it down and I had just enough of the right tools to replace it.

HF trailer didn't fair so well. Stress fractures on both sides that I had to have welded up (200 pesos). Gotta get me a new trailer better suited to Baja. How did that Kendon triple rail hold up?

Hope to see you all soon.

Great pics of the Barf Baja "classes" Reb! :thumbup. Would you mind posting the "bikes" video you took in Bola? I thought that was a cool little snippet.

Leo, you were missed. I had no idea scorpions glowed. Barf Baja Rally 2020 at your Casita in La Ventanna? :teeth :twofinger

And I almost forgot that we put the baby shoe and pink streamer on Rob's kick starter. :rofl Nice pic Dima!
