In the points at the end of Lap 5. Well, I'm assuming 15th puts you in the points in this class :teeth:

It's a big ask to catch up to the front eight at this point, since they even have big gaps between all of them. Maybe a Top 10 finish though? We'll see.

A Top 10 finish is definitely in sight, with Anthony at 13th, with just over a second to make up on the 10th spot rider with five laps to go:

That is a hell of a good run.. sniffing the top ten was what I expected from the Krazy Cid. He did take 10th in class.

Given the bad luck and lousy starting position that is one hell of an effort from Anthony.

Way to go young man. Way to go.
Look forward to seeing you and your family soon. :thumbup

On Saturday we had a combination of a bit of bad luck and some silly mistakes. In QP1, early in the morning, Anthony made a mistake and crashed while he was pushing for position. The problem is he crashed early in QP1, losing a lot of track time. By this time he’d only have about 20 minutes of dry-track time, so it was a very expensive mistake.

The bad luck came in the form of cancelled QP2. Due to circumstances beyond our control, QP2 was cancelled. This meant the times from QP1 dictated the starting grid… 28th for Anthony.

Morning warm-up went ok. Anthony focused on the areas he was struggling upon and made mental notes.

We knew getting a good start would be the #1 priority. Anthony did well and ran down the group. His fastest all weekend had been a 1:43, as the race progressed he went from 1:40s, to 1:39s to consistent 1:38s. The leader got into the high 1:35s. Though 3 seconds off the fastest, at this point Anthony had only had about 45 minutes of dry-track time.

Anthony ended up finishing 10th in the Motostar Cup and 12th overall.

This ends our European trip. We leave to the US (thank you God), on Tuesday.

Thank you to everyone that has helped Anthony get to this point. Special thanks to Budman from BayAreaRidersForums.com (BARF), the BARF community, Rob and Jane at Evolution Motorcycles, Iain Hutton, Jim at Suomy America and everyone of Anthony’s sponsors this year. Thank you very much.

Is it fair to say that no one else in BARF has taken BARF further than Ivan and Anthony?

I think so. :thumbup
