Back protector?

I bought an Alpinestars RC back protector for my Alpinestars "Stunt" jacket. The Alpinestars RC is like having a boogie board strapped to my back and comfort absolutely sucks. Does anyone else make a quasi-comfy back protector that fits in the Alpinestars pocket? How is the Dainese one?

I got the forcefield one that inserts into a jacket pocket (they make 4 different shapes). After it's on i don't feel it. very flexible (i had to fold it practically in half to get it into my jacket pocket)

Dainese Wave !! :thumbup

Comfy fit and quite airy but protective.

That back protector must come in handy when you're barfing. :twofinger

+1 for forcefield...The only downside to it is that it doesn't have a hard shell. Very comfy though.

I dunno if it will fit in the jacket but the Forcefield one is comfy. It sort of molds to your back over time.

I have one and it's the most comfortable back protector I've ever worn.

lol...actually that does work.

My co-worker's brother took a nasty spill on his motorcycle, and luckily, the mac laptop helped to save his life.

On another random tangent, the boblbee is CE-certified as a back protector, apparently:

on those Forcefield back protectors just remember not to crash into any ball point pens, they'll punch right through :laughing

Did I mention I bought a Ducati like 2 weeks ago and still haven't ridden it yet? So many bikes...so little time. :teeth

Dainese has several "Wave" back protectors. You gotta specify which one you're talking about.

I just picked up the Dainese Wave 12... this is the MOST COMFORTABLE full back protector I've had. There's a mesh system that creates a place for air flow and it works. But it's a big one, not for the insert pockets of jackets. You could use one under a jacket, if you're so inclined.

That's the Dainese Wave G1. I use this in the street jacket. It's pretty good, but not the level of protection of the big one.
