Haven't been on the forums in a good minute, and now that i bought another R6 i figured i would come visit once again and become a regular rather than logging on once in a while to stay updated.

firstly, heres the baby:

secondly, as a side note, if anyone has a recommendation for suspension techs to go to to get her all set up for me please do share. ( i know the guys at evolution do quality work, waiting for them to do a $20 special at bike night again:)

Oh snap.

Eh.. 35/40 vs 20.. not that big of deal. It takes them 30 minutes!
I needed to do with the XB but working nights is making that difficult.

Why wait for a bike night, just spend the $40 and get it done asap at the shop. Imho of course.

congrats! Welcome back.
Suspension setup makes a world of difference!
I second the catalyst reaction plug above - or go to the track and spend $40 to have Dave Moss set it up, and then tweak it as you do sessions. You'll leave in good shape.

However, ensure you have ~1000 miles on the suspension first before setting it up...give a chance for the oil to break down a bit and avoid needing to redo it again right away.

+1 for spending the extra $20. Rob and co at Evo know their sportbike suspension and will be well worth it.

Moar food for Malory!

When i bought the bike i was assuming that there would be a bike night within the next couple weeks and i still needed to get dmv/insurance stuff taken care of and thats why i was waiting haha.

This. It's $20. Spend it. Are you telling us your baby isn't worth $20?? ;)

Touché :) your absolutely right

congrats! Welcome back.

Well, thats interesting, because i was planning on doing a track day right after i settled into school a little bit being that its my senior year and i have tons of stuff going on. it would be unreal to have Dave Moss set up my suspension :)

If ur a high school kid and can afford to buy this nice bike, what's another $20 to $40?

very true, i always look for the easy way/cheap route first. bad habits

He might have meant his father bought it.

:) funny, but no i pay for a good amount of my stuff. My car, bike, insurance, gas, recreation (track days, concerts, high school sh*t).

Just curious what you do to make money? What job? I just don't see how a High School kid can make enough money to support a Bike, Car and activities without mom and dads help. Hell the insurance alone would take most minimum wage incomes.

I'm thinking benevolent relative benefactor. While I was in high school, I had a friend who's uncle died and left him $185,000. I always thought that if the person was under 18, there was some sort of clause that would keep the money in control of the parents until after the person's 18th or 21st birthday, but apparently not in this case. Judging by all the stuff he bought. I guess the money was under his control, or the parents struck a deal with him and said you can have 20% right now if you give over to us the remaining 80% :)

A teenager might just be ignorant enough to go for something like that, or maybe the uncle was pissed off and wanted to REALLY screw with the parents LoL!
