I have a special place in my heart for Dobies. When I was a kid, my POS neighbor had a gorgeous red Dobie puppy. I would walk it every day, along with my dog. This Dobie was sooo cute. He was obsessed with PLANES!!

He would look up at planes for 10-30 seconds as they passed overhead. He was not my dog, but I was in love with him.

Would love to adopt a dobie...the hates cats part is the catch. That and I promised my wife I wouldn’t bring another doggy home until our current pooch was gone. They would like mirror images though...almost...

That hasn't been my experience at all. Since dogs have no concept of their size, it's often the Chihuahuas who will be aggressive with my Dobe, who is very afraid of other dogs. I have to keep him away of situations like that, because he would fear bite a smaller dog, and then he would look like the bad guy.

Individually, Mama Love would flirt and make friends as the Chihuahua mayor. Son Love would cower in fear.
Together the pack instinct and stupidity of Chihuahua's would create a fight in which everyone would lose!
