Avila Beach and Beyond

Heading down to Avila beach next weekend and have never ridden down there. Does anyone live down there or know of anywhere somewhat easy to ride on a big bike? Was supposed to go with a buddy but he backed out.

Looking for fun easy trails or fire road cruises since I’ll be solo. I’m taking the Africa twin sooooo....

If anyone lives down there that wants to tote me around that’d be even tighter

I'll let someone else chime in on fire roads near avila because I did not see anything public last time I was there...but..

Avila beach is beautiful! It's a hidden gem that most people don't get too because they are too busy with SLO/Pismo.

Jocko's is a great steak house that you might wanna check out if your into steak.

Im sure there is stuff in Los Padres, but you're even a day ride away from Carrizo Plane, which is what I did last time I stayed in central cali

make sure you hit 229 aka "Rossi's driveway" on the way down

I agree with bmwbob, Prefumo Canyon/See Canyon, Hi Mountain Road from Lopez to Pozo, Pozo Road from Pozo out to Cal Fire Station 41 (near 58), California Valley/Carrizo Plain.

looking online how would I find out if a fire road is blocked or gated?

Anyone heard of burrito creek rd off of highway 58? Looks like it goes all the way into Pozo

Not much of a steak fan but I’m sure my wife will wanna check it out!

My cousin lives in this baller ass house and pays $600/month it’s like a 5bed/3bath renting from one of her customers. I’m looking forward to going down there

I'm having trouble finding a Burrito Creek Road off 58, link? If you mean off of Pozo Road near Las Pilitas, that appears to be gated on street view

Sad to report, no riding.

Babies and wives trump everything.

Even though I planned a full loop and got everything ready.

So...... thanks for the tips and the areas. Will ride it and a TBD date.
