I've been enjoying all these comic book movies that have come out in the last ten years (except the Hulk ones, those could have been better).

I am now ready for the Royal Rumble movie. All of the Avengers should fight to the death with no holds barred all of the Justice League, and the last man standing will be the Ultimate Hero.

I have a feeling either Superman or Martian Manhunter would win. But I would want some sidekick to pull a fast one at the end and come out on top. Like Robin or some other idiot.

Whichever team has Hulk wins. He is the only one among them who by definition can not be defeated. Superman defeats everyone else. Hulk is strongest one there is.

I've had this debate before.

Superman wears lead lined full body suit. Then throws or flies everyone into space or the sun. Batman vs Superman? Worlds greatest detective blah blah blah...all your skills and toys don't work when he throws you into the sun. Iron Man suit can provide life support even in space and won't melt? Too bad the man inside gets boiled to vapor once Superman throws him in the sun. Hulk has limitless strength and is pretty much indestructible? Ok, maybe you can grab onto one of Saturn's moons and throw it at him when Superman just puts you on a one way trajectory out of the solar system.

Off the top of my head, the only one I see giving Superman a real run for the money is the Silver Surfer.

But I'm sure some of you comic book nerds enthusiasts can probably come up with dozens that can go toe to toe with Superman.

There's lot of other periphery characters that could beat them both, in their own universes. but most diety like characters that woudnt bother.

any one of the endless (DC) would dispatch superman with ease. and lucifer is pretty much cannon as the most powerful being to have ever existed in the DC universe, outside the creator. even dream of the endless said he could not put up a fight against lucifer, who was so powerful he was able to escape fate itself

in marvel, the celestials would beat the hulk, and black bolt has gone toe to toe with him before. and marvel has some cosmological cgaracters that could erase him from existence.

if you are talking styraight up only heroes and non diety types, then its more fun lol

Thor could have full Odin Force, and Sun Dipped Superman takes him out.

But if we're talking the basic forms of each team, still no contest. JL. :cool

Superman is faster, can fly, and has heat vision. Hulk might be stronger (or might not, depends on who's writing each character) but I think Supes would be not-moronic enough to rely on his other advantages instead of slugging it out.

Power scale for the DC characters is pretty off-the-chart compared to Marvel's. Speedy for Marvel is roughly the speed of sound, where DC plays closer to lightspeed. Not saying it makes for better or worse characters, but in a head to head fight DC should come out on top every time.
