Auto forwarding text on iPhone?

I got an iPhone from work, and have no desire to touch it. I already have the number forwarded to my GVoice number, and I have my work e-mail address syncing to my DroidX, but I still need access to text messages for now which is how I get dispatched. A quick look around on Google pretty much tells me that there is no way that I can do it without jail breaking the phone.

The number is set up in a computer that generates a text message, so I can't just ask people to use my Voice number.

What's stopping you from getting someone with access to change your number in the computer to send to your G.Voice number instead of your iPhone? Or does the company really want you to use their phone for business use?

Small IT department (two guys) who are already upset that I don't want to use an iPhone, gifted from the All Mighty Steve Jobs (bowed to the ground as they say it). The guy was bitching about how hard it was to set up the corporate e-mail on my Droid. I just did a quick test and it took me literally one minute.

So, I will just deal with checking the work phone for text messages on the short term until they go to e-mail. It is rare that I don't get a call with the text, so I am usually prompted to check. It isn't a huge deal really, just would be a little more convenient.

Droid's really no problem, the only bitch to support is Blackberry.

Tried showing up with a case of good beer?
