When you get passed on the outside in a medium-speed corner whilst dangling off your ZX10R by a dude on Harley who you held up thru a sweet section of winding S-curves on Del Puerto, it's probably not funny for you. But it is for me. That is all. :teeth

Passing someone on the outside of a turn, not knowing if they can hold a line; which one is the squid again:confused

Some a$$hole pased me on the outside in the middle of the turn on the La Honda road close to pascadero.

Whenever I see someone riding on my tail, I pull to the right and give them "pass me" wave.

If I am in the middle of the turn, I am focused on the exit of the turn and I usually do not check my mirrors until I have exited it.

So, whomever was the idiot that passed me yesterday on the outside, what makes you think that the other rider will not change adjust/change his line in the middle of the turn?

Also, by passing someone on the outside, especially if it is a new rider, you may freak him/her out and cause them to slam on the brakes and probably crash.

Perchance I could have passed on the inside, but that would have been impolite. 'twas the safest spot I could find. I mean, one should check one's mirrors every so often and when I'm behind someone for 3 or so miles and they don't GTFO, what to do?

The guy on the RoadKing, well he's just smellin' the roses. :cool

Perhaps you could pass on a straight?
Or if you really want to enjoy those particular turns, maybe just sit your ass on the side of the road and wait for the guy to get a little distance on you? It's really not that difficult to not be a total ass.
But I suppose, you wouldn’t be able to pwn the poor little sprotbikes on your bad-ass couch mobile if you had better manners.
Awesome job dude!:thumbup

You know it cracks me up. Before you post on how this guy is an asshole for waiting three miles to pass, or passing on a corner, or for (God forbid) passing a sprotbile with a Harley, perhaps you should ask your self the question...

How many threads have you posted bitching about the slow Harley (car, bicyclist) that held you up for three miles before you blew past them on a corner?

I think had this thread been the opposite (sprotbiler bitching about a slow Harley), you people would be the same ones yelling "good job for passing on the outside of a corner." and "stupid fucking Harley riders."

The point is merely that no matter what you ride or drive, look in your goddam mirrors and let people by if you are holding them up. Just because you ride a fast bike doesn't mean you ride fast.
