I look forward to seeing him quite often in Lorenzo's garage, right across from Rossi. :teeth

The man you loved to hate, and then when he left MotoGP and actually became a cool guy. He was like a fine whiskey, mellowing with age.

Out on top. A historic racer surrounded by controversy and finally, a fast, if time mellowed fellow with flair. Thanks for making racing entertaining and fun!

I miss Max everytime I see Jorge and Dani in a press conference. Dull and rehashed comments that say nothing. I wish those two would get in a punch up backstage ala Rossi and Biaggi. So much more fun!

Thanks again Max!

I'm gonna' miss him.

He's been a staple of my moto-racing viewing since the beginning.

Loved watching him in EVERY class. Good for you Max, go start a winery or something.

Ciao, Max

Goes out six time world champion. Not bad, and what a resurrection after 2006

Yep. WSBK was great for Max, and I'm glad for it. Fitting end to a fine career. Go out on top, and call it a day. Next year would have been tough for him - great time to bow out gracefully!

Agreed ^^^^

Nothing like going out on top!

I wonder if he will return to manage a team after some time off?

I'd be willing to bet he's still being pursued to both ride or manage!

Good luck Max! :thumbup

Guintoli got the short-end of the stick in this whole thing; signs for Crescent Fixi Suzuki, then backs out of it cause of an offer from Aprilia to ride their factory bike, so he shows up for the winter test, only to find Biaggi was there as well to test the bike (Laverty's on his 2nd year of a two-year stint), so now he may end up back on a Ducati to be run by Alstare, and Biaggi retires anyway. :laughing
