Anyone see the hooligan parade in SF today

I was doing a jog around Stern Grove today around noon.

At around 19th and Sloat a flotilla of about 100 dirt bikes, atms, sportbikes with an assortment of mostly unhelmeted riders doing various anti-social things like riding on the sidewalk, riding over the divider and straight into oncoming traffic, wheelies, rev-bombing and other attention getting stuff, but not a single license plate in sight.

Not to be judgemental but that kind of stuff is often why people think motorcycle riders are anti-social delinquents. I took no photos, I don't run with my phone so no camera.

I could :afm199 about it but we don't seem to be a nation of laws anymore anyway.

They usually come down Portola. I live on Portola. Fortunately, I missed it because I was out riding Morgan Territory at the time.

Well... They could have ridden over Twin Peaks via Market, Portola, over to Taraval, 19th to 280 or something.

I used to hang out with stunters so i'm all for it... but i saw a video of some kids riding their bicycles in the lanes blocking traffic on the bridge doing wheelies. That was incredibly stupid. They just followed the group onto the bridge and wanted some videos for snapchat and instagram. Pretty damn pathetic.

Seriously??!! That kind of stunting shit has no place on public streets. Hope there are arrests made.

Riding on one wheel going 5mph-40mph has no place on public streets but speeding on public streets and 100+ mph on freeways does? there are much less deaths by stunting than deaths by speeding motorcyclists. So before you say both have no place, we all know damn well we all speed or has sped on our motorcycles. And if anyone says otherwise they’re just a lying sack of shit. This is a motorcycle forum. There’s even a specific sub forum for stunters. And just so you know, the stunters I speak of have done stunt shows for you and your fellow riders everywhere, they aren’t the ones that try power wheelies going 45mph and chase them out to 90mph. But the stuff in the video moto-rama posted I don’t defend. Riding on sidewalks and riding with no helmet? Those kind of idiots don’t deserve to be on two wheels.

I have no problem with stunting. I do have a problem with doing it on sidewalks, bridges, closing freeways etc. You want to stunt ? Find a empty parking lot.

Do it off public streets and I have no problem with it. Do it on a highway and shut it down, yes you will have a problem with me if I'm there. I will keep going and I'm not foolish enough to stop.

It is when it is in the FACE of the general public that it gets shitty from my perspective. However that does not provide the ego stimuli that many of these guys (and assume girls) want.

"Look at me I am badass". As long as kids are born I expect that attitude to continue. I have had my moments but my impact was to a much smaller audience and I have learned that no audience other than maybe a friend is the best audience.

I’m pretty sure SFPD has a “do not pursue” policy (and the hooligans are very well aware of this). It’s not clear what else they could do. Whenever there are sideshows, they just block the streets and watch. But sideshow cars generally have plates; stunter bikes usually do not.
