Anyone low side a super duke?

I'm wondering if anyone has low sided their KTM 1290 super duke? The radiator looks VERY vulnerable in such a simple and usually not dangerous crash. Sliders seem ineffectual in a low side for that bike.

Moved out of Crash Analysis--that's where we analyze a crash for the purpose of preventing future offs. I put this in General, but perhaps you'd like it in Garage. Am happy to bump it on over...

You realize there's an entire parts list on the website, right? You might also want to look at the BARF build thread:

Love that build. My favorite bike of some 35 was my 950SM. I’d wondered if the suspension parts from the SM could be used to increase ride height positioning (and plushness for awful Cali paved back roads). Now I know. Kind of wonder why a SM rear shock wasn’t used.

Because 2nd gen and 3rd gen LC8 rear suspension geometry is different.

Yeah that build is the awesome love it,thinking about cartridges down the road for mine the front end on it stock just well is not the best. The shock I can live with but the front end needs some refinement it feels like it ricochetes off of bumps and irregularities let alone the stock Dunlop’s which the front loves to wander in rain grooves and will follow pavement irregularities as well. I am used to it but I need tires and cartridges for sure.
