Anybody Riding The Mojave Mile?

Thinking about running the Bandit this year at the Mojave Mile. Anybody from here going to run it?

My bike is set up for the 1/4 mile but I'm going to be changing the set up going for the mile. I think, still a little cold feet the 1/4 is enough to make you cringe I can just imagine what the mile will be like.

The standing mile is just like a 1/4 mile race but opened up to a mile. May 4-5 I believe.

I might make it if I can get all the funds up if anyone has any fund raising ideas it would be appreciated.

I got three weeks to make it happen.

For maximum top speed, make sure you have the proper riding gear:

I thing I'm going to try to do this.

Swapped out clutches, now have to do wheels and I think I need to rebuild the forks and run stiffer springs. A little safety wiring and I should be good to go.

Got a set of wheels now just to make them fit. I have to hunt down a sprocket carrier for an 07 750. Then find sprockets. lol

I wonder how my zx-10 would do. I'm to chicken to get those kinds of speeds.

very well thats how. depending on final drive gearing it should hit 170ish no problem. As for those speeds the bike is xtremely stable once your in a tuck just don't make sudden movements and yer good.

Got the wheels mounted up and going to have to make a couple of bushings for the front. should be easy enough I just don't have the machinery to do it so I'll have to outsource. I don't know of anyone in the area if anyone has any ideas or knows someone. I know people just not within a 1000 miles. :)

What I need is a reducer that goes from 25mm to 20mm that is 30mm long with a 3mm by 28mm tophat if that makes any sense.

The rear is going fine I had a 1250 swingarm on it so it was pretty much a direct swap.

So did you make it to the June event? If so, post your results!

I'm thinking about heading out in September. Anyone else?
