Supposed to be her first Street ride... hoping somebody might have got some video... she would easily leave us all in the dust :teeth

I wasn't able to get there

Leave anyone in the dust (if there was dust) On the track...
Street is different, Street rules, rule.

I specifically avoided that area. I figured it would be a clusterfvck. I am going to guess that it was a VERY mellow ride, though. Her sponsors would not be pleased if she hurt herself riding in the hills.

i remember reading an article about colin edwards going on a street ride when he was still racing in the AMA and he said it was scary as hell.

he said it was all he saw was trees and guar rails and he ended up riding slower than everyone

Yup. Most top level racers are smart enough to avoid riding street. Funny, as we watch them haul ass around track, we call them crazy. I think that they have it right.

I would think that the liability for crashing on the street would be too high for their racing careers!

I think if I was a pro racer with serious skills, street riding would bore me to tears. Unless I was into touring

A pro track racer, doesn't = street skills. If all they have is track, they are a fish out of water, on the street, and that is high risk, scary city.

i did a the leo vince grape crusher ride a few years back, right when hayes took the championship or even the 2nd back to back title, his girl melissa paris was their too.

they were "on the ride" but they had their own escorted route - you couldnt ride with them.

and yes i would assume its for insurance and other legitimate reasons from their sponsors setting some groundrules for their "public rides" - like literally you cant ride with the public or something like that
