Looks cool though exactly what does your $80 registration fee buy? Is there like a tour guide or does it buy entrance to some secret roads?

It buys a place to camp Friday night (and leave your vehicle Saturday night), a roll chart or GPS track, and transportation for your luggage to the end point and back to the start.

Thank.... okie.... Transportation of luggage, I can just load it on the bike. The roll chart and gps track would be great as I dont know that area.

Aside from the route sheets, I think they also provide lunch both days. And a T-shirt, last year, I'll have to look and see if they're doing that again.

The Saturday course will be different from last year. About 230 miles(if you use all the splits) and more dirt.
I think you will need at least a 70 mile fuel range.

Rumor has it possibly hats this year.

The club reps have promised a more interesting route on day one. Also, they had screwed up some things on the route sheet, and the route sheets were so long you couldn't roll them up all the way in your roll chart holder!

I got screwed up a couple times when mileages did not match. I am told that will not happen this year and route sheets will be more ... a ... concise! :teeth

A lot of money to ride a dual sport ride with two pretty mediocre lunches and a T-Shirt. Still, lots of work goes into laying it all out. This year the Branscombe rd. street section will be a dirt route. (day two)

Last year it was about 90% smaller dual sports, tons of orange bikes. I only saw a few KLR's and only one BMW GS. He struggled a bit on Usal rd. , which gets worse all the time!

I rode my DR650 and it did pretty well but the KTM guys were much faster on the rough, technical stuff .... but then, those kids were all racing, I was looking at the scenery.

Too many people for me, I can ride up Hull mtn. rd to Covelo by myself, and even toss in a few dirt routes this ride does not. (learned from Don Ivan rides) Have fun!

I really don't think you want to be roosted by rocks and dirt all day long. Otherwise, I'd say ok. . . . . as long as you're ok with being dragged along at 30-80 mph on dirt roads.

So....it's like mountain biking with Roxy....yeah, I'm used to that

You know I'm just messin' with ya, right? It really makes no difference to me what you eat. To each his own.

^ There's the vegetarian option (brown bagging it, I mean- you can make whatever kind of sandwich you want). At least that was my lunch option for last year's ride. I bring a couple sandwiches, some cliff bars, and a bit of fruit, and then graze on the provided lunch too. And the brewery will have vegetarian options for dinner.
