yes i am sad to here about this...but tax money is all i can see getting spent. and given to groups that hate us.
they would rather murder us.

I will say, I believe we do need to spend more in general on our own than we do. With that said:

Isolationism never pans out for any nation that tries it.

Our money goes a LONG way in foreign countries, where the same amount of money barely scratches the surface here. Plus, the national budget probably has funds earmarked specifically for foreign aid. We can't do much else with that specific cash and I'm sure the D.O.D. does the same thing.

As the most prosperous nation in the world, we have a duty to help out those in need when major catastrophes happen. We have the rare advantage of being able to put troops in any other country, in the world, within 48 hours. This is both for security/war and for aid. Almost every major disaster in recent history has seen U.S. armed forces of some kind stepping up and providing support. Especially in countries that lack basic needs.

We had aircraft supporting Japan after the Tsunamis almost RIGHT after they happened. Rescue efforts for innocent human life shouldn't be confined to artificial boundaries.

Think about our hospital ships, they provide better care to these people then some of these nations BEST hospitals on the ground. Our aircraft carriers have more helicopters than some nations own all together. Those resources are invaluable.

I think it's important that we provide aid to foreign nations that suffer major disasters as we seem to be good at going in and fucking countries up one way or another. If anything it helps our countries PR on the ground when thousands of food stuffs come in with a stamped American flag on it.

You need help.

Not that it will change your thinking, but a little less than 1% of the federal budget goes to foreign aid. We have much bigger boondoggles at home.

It's ironic that tea party-ers have the worst grammar/spelling.
