pff. that legislator (and all the others who propose similar censorship measures for the media) should be fined $15,000 for trying to use television to control the minds of children.
media freely exists as a form of information and entertainment. if anyone is allowed to broadcast whatever they want, there is no all-encompassing 'agenda', just a reflection of our society.
when some conservative fuckface steps in and complains that the media is brainwashing children (which for the most part is something which nobody in the media business is actually attempting to do), they use that as an excuse to set a precedent in ACTUAL brainwashing by controlling the media according to THEIR agenda for society.
the only way to remove the mind-control effect of media is to keep the government's hands off it, and don't tell people what sort of content they're allowed to broadcast. people like this anti-bikini asshole are the CAUSE of, not the solution to television brainwashing of "the children".
