Commuter type question;
You're in light traffic (there's enough space to move about, if you wish) and it's flowing nicely, when an auto signals and moves into "your" lane. Not right next to you, but close enough you have to adjust your positioning.

Do you;
a) :dunno oh well, may have seen me but there was plenty of room/time for me to manuver and I certainly "share" often enough, so no big deal
b) DAMN that dangerous cager for threatening my life !!!!

Just curious.. for myself, as long as there were no sudden moves, and I had an easy out.. then meh.. I enjoy the privilege of moving in/about/through lanes with cars in them so why should I get mad if it was done with consideration ?

Back off, let them in, and wave like... "Hello, you missed me because you didn't check over your shoulder."

Speed up and go around or brake to drop back, whichever seems safer in the moment. :dunno

if it doesn't force me to make extreme maneuvers then I just roll on, if I have to take evasive action then I might give them the WTF look.
generally I try to have enough space around me that it won't be an issue.

I'm glad to see that others can't get worked up over this either. I had (another) one of these this am, and I was kinda chuckling at myself over the complete lack of emotion in my response (twist and go)

If someone is trying to get in to my lane, I slow to down to get out of their way, unless it's painfully obvious I should just speed up a little to scoot out of the way.

If someone wants over, but is waiting for me to leave, especially in congested traffic, I'll slow down to let them in. Especially if lane splitting, and I see someone with a blinker on, I'll pop in to the next lane, slow down, give them a gap, and then split around them once they've merged.

That gives me at least the illusion of a bit more control over the situation. I don't want to be That Guy between a frustrated driver and a bit of white space that he thinks he can fit it.

Your spidy sense should have told you he was going to change lanes long before it happened.

C) Post the video on BARF and let everyone here tell you how much of a piece of shit you are.

:p

Real talk though, i've seen enough shit-riders react so horribly to non-incidences like describe in the OP, that you can see the entitlement ooze through their Icon vests.

This is still BARF, right? Get haired out. Blow a gasket. Go full agro. Kick his mirror off. Follow the douche bag into his driveway and kick his ass in front of his kids. :dunno :laughing

Like you these type of events don't even affect me any more. I just remove myself from the situation.

My official barf answer though is that I would scream, wave my arms, kick off a mirror, and potentially demand that the driver pull over for fisticuffs. After the altercation I would wheelie home.
