AMCA meet, Borrego Springs ...

some of Kalle's pics from the recent Antique Motorcycle Club of America rally in Borrego Springs:

the 1963 Chevrolet C20 250 step-side, in-line 6 cylinder, with a recently installed three speed overdrive.

1941 Indian Chief bobber, in action, with Rotopax extra gas ... turns out flat-head engines get only about 30 mpg, and the stock Chief gas tanks only have about 100 mile-range.

better look at the 1941 Chief bobber ... foot clutch, hand shift, ignition retard on the right grip, after-market front-disk set up on the leaf-spring style fork, kick start only ...

"Eleanor" a 1946 Indian Chief ... Kalle's plan is to ride this bike to Sturgis SD, later this year, circumstances permitting ... this pic is one of the overlooks of Borrego Springs on the way up to Julian.

and one last Chief with modified skirt fenders and 16" wheels ... with a Harley and a Triumph in the background ...

The AMCA has a rolling 35-year-old eligibility requirement for member bikes, and puts on fun rallies and rides all over California and the United States ... :party

tommylift.jpg

the Tommy Lift and black license plate ...

this pickup was used by a gentleman who had a pinball business in the East Bay ... Kalle purchased it from his son and has done a lot of work to make it more useful and reliable. No issues from SF to Borrego Springs and back ... hear he's practicing on the Chevy for the Dodge he really wants someday. :toothless

I love seeing the RotoPax on the Indian. My first truck was a 66 GMC back in 1985..

Thanks for the cool pics!
