But, to be fair, Mr Smith's transgressions were more in the area of Alcohol, Tobacco, & Firearms (anyone know if he smokes?) and maybe some self control issues, but I've never had my quarterback bang my girlfriend so I don't know how I'd handle it.

On January 28, 2012, Aldon Smith was arrested for driving under the influence in Miami Beach, Florida.
On August 6, 2015, he was arrested in Santa Clara, California, for an alleged hit and run after driving under the influence, and vandalism charges.
He's a drunk driver. He doesn't give a shit about other people. He should be in prison (along with other drunk drivers).
But yeah, "TO BE FAIR" ...what??

This is infuriating.
All of the resources, coaching, time, rehab assistance, and top 10 draft pick (ahead of JJ Watt) one organization put into him are gone. And he can simply sign with another organization that doesn't have the PR pressure to do what is right? Admittedly, I am a 49er fan, but I think this is entirely a horseshit situation. NFL should deliver the 49ers compensatory pick/s for this. I still can't believe he messed up again. It's amazing how hard it is for people to stay out of the way of the police.

I bet the Niners were gonna pull him back in and the Raiders beat them to the punch. As far as his latest DUI, he hasn't been convicted and he may well beat it. But he really hasn't done anything that the Madden-era Raiders didn't do, just for perspective. .

If this was Michael Vick, I would literally stop being a Raiders/NFL fan (I already think that the NFL is an extremely crooked/corrupt organization), but since he has never hurt a Pit Bull, he's "A-OK", in my book!! :laughing
