AGV visor cleaning, Rain X?

I've been using an HJC CL16 for the past year. I used rain x window cleaner the whole time with no ill effects, but HJC visors are tolerant of most cleaners according to the mfg.

I just bought a AGV K4 EVO, I have heard Rain X and windex can damage the lense coatings. Has anyone on here used them on an AGV helmet? I dont want to replace the visor due to fogging or damage. Any real world experiences would be great. I usually clean my helmet atleast twice a week, I would like to avoid damaging it. The rain x cleaner has done me well so far and helps immensely with shedding water.

I tried rain X on my HJC CLsomething years ago. I had a mirrored lense and it took the finish right off.

I've used Eagle One Gel Wax on my helmets for years. All brands, different types of visors. Highly recommend this stuff

AGV K3
Shoei RF1000
Shoei RF1100
Arai Corsair V

Both smoke and mirrored visors.

I tried the Rain-X once a long time ago
didn't hurt the shield, Shoei RF800, but the fumes from the Rain-X burned my eyes going down the road.
never did that again.
non-abrasive car wax can shed water. anti-fog stuff works or a Fog City type product.

I looked into plexus but the price scared me off. I read the honda cleaner was very similar so I ordered that to try it out... worst case scenario I'll just use it for the bike and buy another of your suggested products for the visor.

litre bikes are fun
Honda polish is micro abrasive and over time can scratch the shield. Found out the hard way on that one now only use plexus on the outside a d water and microfiber cloth for inside and on the pinlock.

the can I have is probably 10 years old - It will last until you lose it.

I've had good success with warm water and some soft cloth scrubbing. But I'm not going thru safaris, not sure what gunk you've got on your visor
