Race Report :: Round 7 Thunderhill
After my little spill in August that caused me to miss Round 6 recovering from a severe concussion, I knew I had some ground to make up. Huge thank you to my friends who helped me get myself and my bike (Thanks KazMan!!!) sorted . I could not have made my return this year without your very deeply appreciated assistance.
Friday with Z2Trackdays felt great. I was having some mental hurdles still, until one session where I went out and just rode with my two great friends, I felt almost giddy returning to the pit. I think that single session helped me the most that day.

Saturday I was feeling ok during the practices, it wasn't until the Afemme Lightweight race that I clicked over into racer mode. Great race with some great people. I managed to finish 3rd.

Sunday I decided to only do lightweight twins due to an old knee injury starting to flare up. This was my favorite race this time, I got to spend the whole race chasing my friend around and came within a second of my personal best. It was fitting to finish my race season chasing the person who has helped push me to improve the most.

I want to thank everyone who has helped me during my two years on the track. It's been quite the journey from slow street rider to novice racer.
Thanks to KazMan and the rest of the EKR team and support crew for the help and encouragement this year.
Major thanks to Z² Track Days for letting me come work on my riding in such an amazing environment, CT Racing for stocking those wonderful Pirelli tires and always being on hand, Oxymoron Photography for making me look so good while racing, GP Suspension for helping me get some wonderful suspension that really helped me push the bike harder and Fuzimoto for helping dial it all in, MACH 1 MOTORSPORTS for always helping me get sorted with parts and some good conversation while there, Motion Pro, Inc. helping me out with a Rev 2.0 throttle tube that solved my wrist pain issues I was having, think I might get one for my street bike now.
Looking forward to the next season and pushing myself to get better.
