AFM numbers

I spent a couple of hours now trying to find somewhere that makes these numbers custom for said bike.

Also have only found rules on the allowable numbers for AFM racers. which for the first year is irrelevant as I already got my number.

SO is there restrictions on number colors, size, placement, and how that might change based on racer status....

Any links or emails to preferred vendors that make the number stickers and information on any possible restrictions aside from the actual number itself....

Black on yellow for novices, black on white for experts

I bought a roll of yellow vinyl from amazon and black vinyl numbers

One front facing and one on each side of the fairing and you’re good to go :ride

I know the rulebook has specifics somewhere, but I'll put in what I think can be a fairly safe set of parameters that you'd want to stick within. Definitely not official.

Just like they said above, it should be a non-ornate number style that can be read fairly easily at speed by the race direction. I think for the front plate, the numbers should have a total minimum width of around 9.5" for three numbers and 7.5" for two numbers. Preferably these numbers are bold typeface.

Novices - Yellow plate with black numbers
Experts - White plate with black numbers
Class Champions - I think they have the option of Black plate w/white numbers or red plate w/white numbers

This is the most popular guy for sure.

This AFM racer does paint, so he might do numbers too.

+1

Vinyl sheets are cheap and you can cut it to whatever shape you want to fit your bodywork. Especially for those of us with older bikes which don’t have pre-cut race numbers readily available.

I used vinyl sheets cut to shape on my bike and the numbers came from http://www.alloutgraphics.com/numbers.htm

If u can use Adobe Illustrator to make your own design, any sticker shop can make them for you. You want digital print laminated vinyl. My local shop does 2 sets for ~$80

Be careful with changing things so they look "cute" or "cool". Tech will disallow them...they're a pain in the ass to read.

Good source for numbers is Ace Hardware. In the section where you get numbers to put on your house or mailbox.

I was issued a number but havent taken NRS until end of Aug.

I didnt follow through with purchasing numbers as I wasnt 100% sure that my number would be held.

But now im thinking if I do the NRS and if im understanding I have to follow that with clubman do I need to ALREADY have my numbers on?
