I figure that all of you Sport Touring guys have an Aerostich - so I'll ask y'all...
My aerostich roadcrafter full suit arrived today. I got a 44 long with forward rotated sleeves and a sewn in ellipse. I also opted for the hip armor and back armor.
Sooooo...
I put on the suit and it's really bulky.
1) Is it normal for the suit to feel bulky?
2) Will the bulkiness go away? (I guess I'll eventually not notice...)
It was pretty easy to put on - once I figured out which way the zipper went
I went for a test ride and noticed that it felt tight when I leaned to the tank (I ride an R6 and an EX500 - the test ride was on the R6) the suit felt tight through the back. Not super tight - but noticable none-the-less.
3) Will the suit eventually stretch in the back?
4) Did they forget to sew in the ellipse? (How can I tell?)
5) Should I send it back? (They're really nice and kind of expect to go one or even two iterations of alterations for fitment.
On the ride I noticed that the bike felt slippery. I usually wear full leathers - a jacket / pants zip together.
6) So slippery feeling is normal for textile right?
7) Is there a way to get rid of the slipperyness? Some spray or something, right?
Otherwise my fit was perfect - no complaints. The armor went right in and all lines up with me (like the knee pads line up with my knees, etc, etc.) The legs are the right length - and so is the torso (so the crotch is right where it's supposed to be).
Anyhow a big :thumbup to Aerostich.
