Advice needed for kart track bike

I live close to Sonoma and want to take advantage of the kart track days they have and need advice on what type of bike would be best. I have two options close to me, the first is a 07CRF150 supermoto set up and the other is a KTM rc390 both at good prices. I do not race but enjoy doing track days (about 10 a year) on my 13 675r. So the question is, which bike would benefit my riding on the trumpet more? Or should I just spend the money on more track days (easier said than done with life commitments)?
Thanks in advance.

Personally I would say the CRF150.

The little lower speed and weight will allow for a bit more focus on technique... plus it would be a hoot. I had not seen small sport bikes on the track before, but I have not been there for a few years.

CRF150R or CRF150L? That makes all the difference!

The Sonoma kart is a big track as far as kart tracks go. A 150R is a lot of fun if you can deal with the MX maintenance intervals. I should know since I ride one there. 250R or 450R would work too, and there are plenty in the used market already set up.

If you want to stick to air cooled for peace of mind, a 230F would be a much better option for asphalt. Not that you won't have fun on the 150F, you'll just get a bit bored on the straight and passed a lot.

I don't think bikes like the RC390 are great for kart track. You very rarely see a Ninja 300/400 out there, but they look like a lot of work, and pretty slow too. And they don't crash well at all compared to dirt bikes :D A DRZ400 would be much better if you need street legal.

Its a crf150r all set up for supermoto.

They are great little bikes, but I understand they are little time bombs too, if you spin them up on a regular basis.

The 450 Moto bikes are used by many in the Supermoto world and are designed to crash.

If your kart track bike doesn't have 63 horsepower, launch control, traction control, and a slipper clutch from the factory what are you even doing with your life?
