Anybody been on this ride lately?
I was up this way in July and there was a fire nearby. Can't really say where Cuz I'm not that familiar with the area.
Just curious about conditions lately.

I am going to start hitting this ride up again, just to get into some long ride shape in the lead up to the sheetiron.

Hey guys, anyone going to be there on march 15th? I'll have a 2 hour ride there, just want to make sure people still meet up since I'm new to the site. Thanks

I don't think there is a regular group doing this ride anymore but there are people interested still. If my forks are done by then I'm interested in going for sure. Haven't done this ride in a long while.

My 950 adv forks are at 707 getting serviced. If I get them back in time I'm super interested in riding this weekend. I'll keep this thread updated. :thumbup

Was up there last sunday and not too many people out.

Rd-40 to reiff was nice however, knoxville is pretty fucked up due to the new rave of side by sides that are going up there and ruttin the shit out of knoxville.

With this amount of rain projected, going up there weekend of 21/22 should be fun.

Hi guys, not a ADV/DS question but i'm new to the bay area and was looking to get out and go camping/hiking in the dispersed camping areas.

Going in a car this time since its my first time and i'm unfamiliar with the area. Was wondering if you guys had any advice or tips to first timers here.

I see lots of maps on the usfs page and understand there could be stream crossings to get to some camping areas but wondering how that generally is now that's its late may. Also since covid not sure if any stores are open for hot showers.

Trying to gauge what i need to prep.

There is not going to be any water in the crossings and if there is, there will only be an inch or two. It is quite warm up here right now.

There are not any showers anywhere at Knoxville. You will be lucky to find a decent shitter.

I know knoxville is open, Rd-40 is open (gate is closed so don't go in from Highway 16). Any other questions, shoot me a PM.
