Adhesive Cam mount on matte helmet

Any one have any experience with an adhesive mount on a matte helmet? I'm not too crazy about using an adhesive mount on the side of my new $$$ helmet.

Can these be removed without damaging the matte finish?

You won't ever have a problem , To be on the safe side when taking off use a hair dryer hot setting for a minute And it will come off easy.

I've had no problems ,AGV And Scorpion matte black helmets.

most adhesive camera mounts typically use 3M VHB which can handle horizontal and vertical forces BUT they fail when torsion is applied

And there are no guarantees that it won't screw up the paint. Also, never rely on just the adhesive mount. Have a safety teacher as well.

Matte helmets are overrated i bought 1 shoei rf1200 in matte and it will be my last matte ever. Taking 2-3x longer to clean off bug oils and body parts embedded to the matte is not fun everyday. Ive had my contour mounted for 2 years now no issues yet in the matte shoei

Shoei qwest in matte gray has held my go pro mount without any issues. I have yet to have a go pro mount fail.

dunno about any issues with removal, experience removing them from bike paint has been a non-issue.

I've got the Shoei GT-Air no issues with keeping it clean so far, bugs come off fine. I got the $3 matte spray cleaner, seems to work well with a micro-fiber cloth so far.

I'll see about attaching some sort of lanyard or tether if I go this route. Guess you have to remember to undo that before pulling the helmet, seems like kind of a hassle, but it needs to be short... I'm guessing tie off to a backpack shoulder strap?

I guess you could also attach it to the chin strap, maybe that's better?
