Ride or Die
Just got word last night that addiction motors has to move. A brewery is supposed to move in. The Bay Area sure is a tough place to do business. I wonder where they will go. Cool guys for sure. Best of luck.

They'll be alright. They've already got some leads on a new spot and no one seems to worried. Bummed they won't be as close, takes me about 3 minutes to get there, including sitting at a stop light.

I'll be sure to never do business with whoever is moving in. Fuck them.

Lame. There are already too many overly expensive restaurants/bars/breweries here.

First, I sincerely hope that Addiction ends up in an even better location. They rock, for sure.

That said, you should look at the bright side: you will soon live 3 minutes from a brewery. :thumbup

Not sure why you are vowing to never do business with whomever moves into that spot. It is highly unlikely that the brewery is the one giving them the boot. In all likelihood (I haven't researched this, either) the brewery was looking for space and the property manager said, "Hey, we have an opening!" :|

Well, ya, I'm being a bit reactionary. But there are more details, that I'm not sure I am allowed to air out here, that make your last statement not true in this case.

And that's why I'm being so reactionary. I am sure Addiction will make out fine, they're awesome dudes who do great work.

Might be a Helimot situation - Shitty location & rent went up, he moved to a much nicer location and seems to be doing well. :thumbup

And if the brewery/brewpub makes :port, it's all good. :party

They'll be fine and I'm looking forward to starting up my suspension set-up classes again, at the new location soon!

It is all rubbish...
My understanding is they weren't given much of a choice. IE this business is willing to pay X, so either you pay X or you have 30 days to move out.

Addiction runs a very cool business to be sure. My vote is find empty hanger space next to this place on the old Alameda Naval Air base, where the view is tremendous to say the least!:thumbup

The naval base is pretty rad. But they want to stay in E-Ville. It has a very business friendly environment and they're alread familiar with all the hoops one needs to jump through.

Shoot :(
I just stopped by place the other day and the guys there were supercool in explaining how the multiple shops are set up.

I have never really been one to encourage people to start riding. But imagine if even half the people that will go to this new beer garden ......deciding to say .. "f*ck this fancy beer....I'm getting a motorbike!!" ... This might help prevent shops like this from being shuttled around to the outskirts of town.
